PLAN

The focus this year and next is on artistic programming, board formation, institutional partnering, community outreach, and pursuit of individual and foundational support. Our plan provides meaningful access to the program and building today, with a thoughtful progression that shapes the step-by-step building renovation. Over the next five years, Yale Union and its dedicated staff will activate the building with exhibitions, events, rentals, and more, culminating with the launch of our capital campaign and ratification of cornerstone support for the building’s completion.

We’ve determined the feasibility, scope, timing, and funding for undertaking this capital program. The plan set, detailed with seismic upgrade, geothermal energy system, new freight elevator, and all necessary, restorative, and phased construction, is complete. Fire and life safety issues have been addressed, and ADA concerns have been met.
