HIEROGLYPHIC BEING

A Performance
Thursday, May 2, 9pm (Promptly)
$10

On Thursday, May 2, Hieroglyphic Being (Jamal Moss) will give a 90-minute performance based on his recent compositions. Moss is from Chicago and cites two Chicago luminaries, jazz composer Sun Ra and house DJ Ron Hardy as points of reference, but he does not live perennially as their little son, with the conscience of a little son. Moss is his own.

Jamal Moss was born in 1973 in Chicago, Illinois. Moss is a former member of techno group The Chicago Bad Boys. He records under the aliases I.B.M., IAMTHATIAM, and The Sun God, and is the founder of the record label Mathematics Recordings.
